What you learn is what you die with. - African proverb
Many cultures and religions the world over, believe in the concept of life after death. Some believe you are reincarnated into another living being, returning over and over until your spirit has learned all it needs to know.
Some believe that if you learn to live holy, you will be elevated into heaven where joy and love permanently reside.
All of these ideas require learning in order to continue to achieve spiritual growth.
This week's proverb demands us to prioritize our growth.
If what we learn is what we die with, we must take our spiritual growth seriously. We must be consistent with our meditation and self-assessments even when we think we don't have time for it.
The spiritual work we do surpasses the mundane daily activities of this lifetime. What we achieve mentally, emotionally and spiritually has the potential to determine our status in the afterlife. Consider this.
