In 2012, Nefertem was born out of frustration with so-called “natural” companies hiding synthetic chemicals behind deceptive labels. We wanted better for our family—skincare we could trust, made with real, pure ingredients. But it wasn’t just about skincare; it was about teaching our children the value of hard work, self-reliance, and preserving the traditions of generations past.
Inspired by time-honored craftsmanship, we began hand-rendering grass-fed tallow in small batches, embracing a process that prioritizes quality over convenience. Working with our hands allowed us to show our children what it means to “do for self,” building something with intention, passion, and pride.
Our mission has always been simple: to do right by people and the planet, leaving the world just a little better, one bar and jar at a time.
For us, Nefertem is about more than skincare—it’s about preserving traditions, celebrating the beauty of authentic living, and creating something meaningful.

Every product we make begins with the finest natural and organic ingredients, carefully chosen for their purity and effectiveness.
Our grass-fed, grass-finished tallow is hand-rendered, triple-filtered, and cured using old-fashioned methods to ensure it meets our highest standards.
We source our suet from 3 Midwest, family-run farms that raise their cattle on grass and sunshine, without the use of antibiotics or steroids.
From there, we craft each batch of soap and moisturizer by hand, curing it to perfection for a firm, long-lasting product that reflects our commitment to quality.
You won’t find parabens, artificial fragrances, SLS, or other harmful chemicals in our products—just honest ingredients sourced from ethical suppliers who value sustainability and integrity as much as we do.
