As we prepare for the coming of another beautiful year, we are urged, by this proverb and the growing energy of the Universe, to rise to the occasion.

The end of the year brings the opportunity to reflect on the previous year (what a challenge it has been for many!) and to plan for a brighter year ahead.

To set goals and create a plan to achieve them is a way to stay inspired throughout the year, work hard, focus on the path at hand, and reduce distractions. Doing so will allow us to reap the most abundant harvests year after year.

On the contrary, not setting goals leaves us up to the changing winds. We lack roots, we tend to be easily distracted, and before we know it, another year has passed still dreaming of what could be.

Let us all take this time to sit with ourselves on what we wish to accomplish. Set personal goals, set family goals, set partnership goals and set friendship goals.

Lets' assess our current physical, spiritual, mental and financial health. What can we do to improve? What can we do to challenge our current situation in order to make leaps of growth?

The greatest gift we have as humans is the ability to rise each day with a renewed spirit. If we do not rise to the challenges we set for ourselves, we will not arrive at the achievements we wish to attain.
